Baby C = A Mini Johnny

May 18th
Today my Mom joined us at the doctor again so that she could see the babies now that they actually look like babies. They are all looking really good at this point. We are very sure that baby A is a boy. He is no problem giving us a wide open leg shot at ever ultrasound (I swore that he was a boy even as far back as when we went to Davis). Baby B, who we think is the girl, would not give the doctor a very good shot so at this point we aren't sure if she is actually a girl. My Dad says that he likes that the little girl is keeping her legs closed. When we got to baby C he was sleeping. The doctor still needed to check him out so he moved the ultrasound over him. This woke the baby up and he looked very angry that his nap was being disturbed (this is why I say that this baby is a mini Johnny. Another funny thing about that is that when you looked at John's face while all this was happening, you could see how proud he was. Eventually, baby C gave a view of his goods and we are still pretty sure that C is a boy. The doctor says at this point he is still going to say 2 boys and 1 girl.

We Think That We Know The Genders

April 28th
Before revealing the genders I want to say that both babies A and B are at the very bottom of my stomach side by side. How they determine who is baby A is by measuring who is closest to my cervix. In my case it really depends on who is stretched lowest at the time so sometimes A is on the left and B is on the right and sometimes it is opposite. To avoid confusion we will just call the baby on the bottom left A and the one of the bottom right B. Baby C is across the top.

BABY A = BOY

BABY B = GIRL

BABY C = BOY

I am really excited about this and they are exactly what I have thought they were the entire time. I know it is still early and isn't 100% at this point but my Dr is pretty sure. The rest of my Dr visit went well and all 3 babies are measuring exactly where they should at this point and when we do an ultrasound they are always moving around a ton which is amazing. My morning sickness is gone (I should say that I was very wrong about this and it came back stronger than before) and I am starting to feel human again. I think that maybe I felt one of the babies move today. I am not 100% if that was what it was or not. It was almost like the tingly feeling that you get when your hand starts to fall asleep.
I went to the cardiologist a couple of weeks ago and they monitored me and my heart rate is still really high during the day. The good news is that when I sleep my heart rate goes down to 70 something bpm. They have determined that it is just the extra blood my heart is pumping and not a problem so that is good news.

UC Davis

April 16th
Today John and I went to UC Davis to see a specialist. They talked to me about risk associated with carrying all of these babies and that I would only go to 36 weeks at the very longest. That means that even though my due date is October 23rd the babies will be here no later than September 25th.

A Very Sad Day For Me.

April 7th
I went to the Dr. today. I am 11 1/2 weeks pregnant. I had a pap exam and they found that my heart rate is really high. I now have to go see a cardiologist to make sure that it is nothing. My Dr. thinks that it is just because of the increased blood flow and is my bodies normal reaction to being pregnant. Lets hope, I am 24 so it is pretty young to have heart problems. I then had an ultrasound and one of the babies only measured 9 1/2 weeks and then its heart stopped beating a few days ago. I am really sad, but I am trying to be ok with this. The other 3 babies are doing great still and the Dr says that with one less baby that I am not nearly as high risk. He said that I should be able to make it about a month further and that I should be able to deliver in the local hospital. These are good things, but I am still so sad.

8 weeks 4 days

March 17th
Today's appointment was very uneventful. My Mom came with us to see the babies. The doctor did an ultrasound and all 4 were growing and had strong heartbeats.

The Biggest Shock Of My Life.

March 3rd
6 Weeks 4 Days
Today John and I went to the doctor for the first time. We were really excited because we knew that we would be getting an ultrasound. Prior to going to the doctor I looked online so that I would know what a baby looked like at 6 1/2 weeks. If you don't know at this point it pretty much looks like a black hole with a fuzzy blob in it. Anyways, as soon as the doctor turned on the ultrasound I could see it.... There wasn't just one baby in there, there was 4. I kept asking the doctor if there were 4 and he kept telling me to wait and let him look first. After looking in each sac he said that there is 4 babies and that they all have a heartbeat and look exactly how they should at this point.

PREGNANT!!!

Feb. 11th
Last night I had the craziest dream. I had a dream that John and I were putting carseats in the car. There were 3 babies, 2 boys and 1 girl.
When I got up this morning I ran to the bathroom and took a pregnancy test. It was possitive. I then took a few more, you know, just to make sure. They were all positive so I called the Dr. and was told to come in on March 3rd.
