Triplet poem

I thought that this was neat.

TRIPLETS
So many good things come in threes, Like Musketeers and ABC's.
But triplets are the best of all From little ones to those quite tall.
And from the time such life begins, It's extra laughter, triple grins.
With joys and mischiefs multiplied And two defenders by each side.
So much alike, forever linked, And yet they're also quite distinct.
They share a birthday and a name, But moods and tempers aren't the same.
From days of youth till life is done, It's one for all and all for one.
God made us novel and precise, But special folks -- He made them thrice!

Big Ultrasound!!!

Today we had the big ultrasound done. We know for sure that Baby A is a Boy. We know for sure that Baby B is a Boy. I guess what we know about Baby C is that they are the shy baby. In the last ultrasound the Dr thought that C looked like a girl but in the one before that he thought boy so who knows. I guess we will have to wait and see on that one. I hope they show the goods next time because I didn't really want to be surprised. Everything else with the babies looked good. Baby A is measuring right where he should be and Baby B is a couple of days behind A and C is a couple of days behind B. They said it is within the normal range and there was nothing to worry about, so I wont.

Baby A = Boy

Baby B = Boy

Baby C = ?

20 weeks 4 days

Today I was measured with a tape measure for the first time. I am measuring about 30 weeks today. The doctor is still sure that baby A is a boy but he isn't sure about the other 2. Today he said that he thinks that they could possibly both be girls. So, we went from 2 boys 1 girl, to maybe 3 boys, to maybe 2 girls 1 boy. I am honestly fine with whatever gender they are I just hope that they are all healthy and that they aren't born too early. The idea of having a really early preemie is scary and I think that it would be sad to leave them in the hospital when I go home. I know that most likely they will be in the hospital for awhile after they are born but I hope not for too long.

Are You Pregnant?

Yesterday I was at Safeway getting food from the deli. I was waiting in line behind an old lady ordering a sandwich. The girl working at the counter was so ditsy. Every time the lady would name an item she wanted on her sandwich the girl would say, "oh you go girl." After she finished with the lady it was my turn to order, then she looks at me and asks if I am having a baby. I had every intention that the first person that asked me that I was going to say no just to mess with them. This girl however wasn't the brightest so I figured messing with her would be a waste of time. So anyways, I guess that I officially look pregnant enough for strangers to ask.

Baby C = A Mini Johnny

May 18th
Today my Mom joined us at the doctor again so that she could see the babies now that they actually look like babies. They are all looking really good at this point. We are very sure that baby A is a boy. He is no problem giving us a wide open leg shot at ever ultrasound (I swore that he was a boy even as far back as when we went to Davis). Baby B, who we think is the girl, would not give the doctor a very good shot so at this point we aren't sure if she is actually a girl. My Dad says that he likes that the little girl is keeping her legs closed. When we got to baby C he was sleeping. The doctor still needed to check him out so he moved the ultrasound over him. This woke the baby up and he looked very angry that his nap was being disturbed (this is why I say that this baby is a mini Johnny. Another funny thing about that is that when you looked at John's face while all this was happening, you could see how proud he was. Eventually, baby C gave a view of his goods and we are still pretty sure that C is a boy. The doctor says at this point he is still going to say 2 boys and 1 girl.

We Think That We Know The Genders

April 28th
Before revealing the genders I want to say that both babies A and B are at the very bottom of my stomach side by side. How they determine who is baby A is by measuring who is closest to my cervix. In my case it really depends on who is stretched lowest at the time so sometimes A is on the left and B is on the right and sometimes it is opposite. To avoid confusion we will just call the baby on the bottom left A and the one of the bottom right B. Baby C is across the top.

BABY A = BOY

BABY B = GIRL

BABY C = BOY

I am really excited about this and they are exactly what I have thought they were the entire time. I know it is still early and isn't 100% at this point but my Dr is pretty sure. The rest of my Dr visit went well and all 3 babies are measuring exactly where they should at this point and when we do an ultrasound they are always moving around a ton which is amazing. My morning sickness is gone (I should say that I was very wrong about this and it came back stronger than before) and I am starting to feel human again. I think that maybe I felt one of the babies move today. I am not 100% if that was what it was or not. It was almost like the tingly feeling that you get when your hand starts to fall asleep.
I went to the cardiologist a couple of weeks ago and they monitored me and my heart rate is still really high during the day. The good news is that when I sleep my heart rate goes down to 70 something bpm. They have determined that it is just the extra blood my heart is pumping and not a problem so that is good news.
